- Length – 11.5”
- Width – 3.5”
- Circumference – 10.5”
Materials Needed
- Worsted Weight yarn in the following colors:
- Black (for tip)
- Cream/Beige (for wood)
- Yellow (for shaft)
- Gray (for metal band)
- Pink (for eraser)
- Size G/4mm crochet hook
- Yarn Needle for sewing
- Scissors
- Optional:
- Loop and Hook (Velcro)
Stitches and Abbreviations
- Ch – Chain
- MC – Magic Circle
- Sl St – Slip Stitch
- SC – SC Crochet
- BLO SC – Back Loop Only Single Crochet
- DC – Double Crochet

Crochet Pencil Case – Tip
Using Black:
Begin with MC
Round 1: SC 6 into MC, Sl St to close. Ch 1 (6)
Round 2: SC 1, 2 SC into next stitch, repeat around, Sl St to close. Ch 1 (9)
Round 3: SC 2, 2 SC into next stitch, repeat around, Sl St to close. Ch 1 (12)
Round 4 :SC 3, 2 SC into next stitch, repeat around, Sl St to close. Ch 1 (15)
Round 5: SC 4, 2 SC into next stitch, repeat around, Sl St to close. (18)
Switch to Beige/Tan
Round 6: Ch 1, SC 5, 2 SC into next stitch, repeat around, Sl St to close. Ch 1 (21)
Round 7: SC 6, 2 SC into next stitch, repeat around, Sl St to close. Ch 1 (24)
Round 8: SC 7, 2 SC into next stitch, repeat around, Sl St to close. Ch 1 (27)
Round 9: SC 8, 2 SC into next stitch, repeat around, Sl St to close. Ch 1 (30)
Round 10: SC 9, 2 SC into next stitch, repeat around, Sl St to close. Ch 1 (33)
Round 11: SC 7, 2 SC into next stitch, repeat around, Sl St to close. Ch 1 (36)

Using Pink:
Begin with MC
Round 1: SC 6 into MC, Sl St to close. Ch 1 (6)
Round 2: 2 SC into each stitch around, Sl St to close. Ch 1 (12)
Round 3: SC 1, 2 SC into next stitch, repeat around, Sl St to close. Ch 1 (18)
Round 4: SC 2, 2 SC into next stitch, repeat around, Sl St to close. Ch 1 (24)
Round 5: SC 3, 2 SC into next stitch, repeat around, Sl St to close. Ch 1 (30)
Round 6: SC 4, 2 SC into next stitch, repeat around, Sl St to close. Ch 1 (36)
Round 7: SC 5, 2 SC into next stitch, repeat around, Sl St to close. Ch 1 (42)
Round 8: SC 6, 2 SC into next stitch, repeat around, Sl St to close. Ch 1 (48)
Round 9: BLO SC into each stitch around. Sl St to close. Ch 1 (48)
Round 10-14 : SC into each stitch around. Sl St to close. Ch 1 (48)
Switch to Gray
Round 15-18: SC into each stitch around. Sl St to close. Ch 1 (48)
Fasten Off, weave in ends and, set aside for assembly
Crochet Pencil Case – Shaft
Using Yellow:
Ch 32
Row 1: DC into 2nd Ch from hook, DC Across (30)
Row 2-24: Ch 2, DC in each stitch across (30)
Fasten Off, weave in ends and, set aside for assembly
Crochet Pencil Case – Assembly
Roll yellow fabric and place into eraser (Fabric should be all the way in, resting on the pink bottom). Note that the ends of the yellow fabric should overlap, to create closure. Sew around twice to secure. See image.
Secure yellow fabric overlap on other end. This will help maintain straight lines when attaching the tip.
Place the tip over the end of the shaft. Sew around twice to secure.
Optional, Sew Loop and Hook (velcro) into overlap on shaft, for more secure closure on case.
