Crochet Pumpkin Coasters
Nothing says Autumn more than pumpkins! And what a better way to get in the mood for Fall than to decorate with crochet pumpkin coasters? These adorable crochet pumpkin coasters are made in 3 parts, then sewn together. You can even glue felt faces on them to make them look like Jack-O-Lanterns!

Crochet Pumpkin Coaster Pattern
Materials needed:
- 1 ball cotton yarn – orange for pumpkin body (I used Peaches and Creme Bright Orange)
- 1 ball cotton yarn – brown for pumpkin stem (I used Peaches and Creme Dark Taupe)
- 1 ball cotton yarn – green for pumpkin leaf (I used Peaches and Creme Rosemary)
- Size 5mm crochet hook
- Scissors
- Yarn Needle
Optional Materials:
- Black Felt
- Fabric Glue
Stitches & Abbreviations
- DC – Double Crochet
- #DC – DC # into same stitch
- Sl St – Slip Stitch
- Ch – Chain
Pumpkin Body
With Orange Yarn:
Ch 8
Round 1
2DC into 4th Ch from the hook.
DC in next 3stitches.
6DC in last chain.
Continue down the other side of chain, DC in next 3 stitches.
3DC in last Ch.
Sl St to top of Ch 3.
Round 2
Ch 3 (Counts as first DC) DC in same stitch.
2DC in next 2 stitches.
DC in next 3 stitches.
2DC in next 6 stitches.
DC in next 3 stitches.
2DC in next 3 stitches.
Sl St to top of Ch 3.
Round 3
Ch 3 (Counts as first DC) DC in same stitch.
2DC in next 2 stitches.
DC in next 8 stitches.
2DC in next 6 stitches.
DC in next 9 stitches.
2DC in next 3 stitches.
Sl St to top of Ch 3.
Fasten Off and weave in ends.
Pumpkin Stem
Using Brown Yarn
Ch 6
SC in second Ch from hook, across (5)
Fasten Off.
Leave long tail for sewing.
Pumpkin Leaf
Using Green Yarn
Create Magic Circle
Ch 3
DC 3 into Magic Circle
Ch 2
Sl St into 2nd Ch from hook (leaf tip made)
DC 3 into Magic Circle
Ch 3
Sl St to Magic Ring
Tighten Ring and Fasten Off.
Leave long tail for sewing.
Assembly
Place Stem close to the center of the top of the pumpkin. Bring tails between stitches to the back side of the pumpkin body. Tie and weave in ends.
Place the leaf next to the stem. Bring tails between stitches to the back side of the pumpkin body. Tie and weave in ends.
Optional, cut Jack-O-Lantern faces from felt, and glue to face of pumpkin.
