Weena’s Warmers – Crochet Fingerless Gloves

These adorable, and incredibly warm, crochet fingerless gloves, came about at the request of a dear friend.  She wanted something warm, in this particular yarn.  I was excited to get to work, and this is what I came up with! The yarn is an acrylic/alpaca wool blend, which makes them extra cozy and warm, too! I hope you enjoy making them as much as I did! Materials – Weena’s Warmers Crochet Fingerless Gloves

  • 1 Skein Mary Maxim Woodlands (the color used here is plum mist)
  • 5mm hook
  • Yarn Needle

Stitches

Ch – Chain
SC – Single Crochet
DC – Double Crochet
BC – Bead Cluster – see special stitches

Special Stitches

Bead Cluster (BC) – Yarn Over (YO), insert hook around stem of previous DC, pull up a loop, 3x.  YO, pull through the first 6 loops on hook (2 loops will remain).  YO, pull through the remaining 2 loops on hook.  Bean Cluster made.

Ch 3, turn (counts as first DC)

Row 2 – DC 2nd across (29)

Ch 1, turn

Row 3 – SC across, and in turning Ch (30)

Ch 3, turn (counts as first DC)

Row 4 – DC in 2nd stitch from the hook, BC, sk next, *DC, BC, sk next stitch* Repeat * * 13 times. Sk next stitch, DC in last st (14 BC/DC and 1 DC – total of 29 stitches)

Ch 1, turn

Row 5 – SC across and in turning Ch (30)

Ch 3, turn

Row 6 -DC 2nd, across (29)

Ch 1, turn

Row 7 – SC across and in turning Ch (30)

How to Assemble Weena’s Warmers Crochet Fingerless Gloves

Fold in half and sew as follows:

Whip stitch in first seven (7) stitches.  FO and weave in ends.  Skip the next (6) stitches.  Whip stitch the remaining (17) stitches.  FO and weave in ends.

For second glove, begin sewing at opposite end.
